David John Mitchell (DJM) was formerly a comics artist, hence “DJMcomics.” He previously worked on a moderately acclaimed LGTBQ webcomic with author Emily Riesbeck, alongside periodic illustration projects for books and support work on indie animated films. He has worked as an arts professional in the fine art world for more than a decade, most recently as a gallery director at a commercial contemporary art gallery in Chicago, alongside freelance work with contemporary artists and galleries around the world. He maintains curatorial and writing practices.
